The Santocha competition section trains and supports over 50 riders in surfing in Capbreton and bodyboarding. Discover our coaching approach, training sessions and competition calendar.
Coaching
How training sessions work
3 training sessions per week, from February to December. Each session is designed to push our riders towards competition performance.
Technical training
In-water sessions coached by our certified instructors. Work on positioning, wave reading, decision making and manoeuvre development. Coaching adapted to conditions and each surfer's level.
Strength & conditioning
Session at Capbreton's High Performance Centre. Strength training, cardio, proprioception and injury prevention. Programme adapted to each age group.
Video analysis & tracking
Each surfer receives a personalised tracking booklet. Video analysis of sessions and competitions to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Programme open from the youngest ages, from Under-12s to Open categories. Training at various spots in Capbreton and Hossegor depending on conditions.
Together we build a genuine sporting project, tailored to each surfer's needs and goals. The competition formula is priced at 580EUR / season.

Results & achievements
Santocha consistently stands out each season on regional and national FFSurf circuits. Our riders compete at the French championships in surfing, bodyboarding and bodysurfing, regularly bringing home podium finishes.

How do I register for surf competitions?
To enter FFSurf competitions, you need a competition licence from Santocha. Your registration for events is handled through the club, which supports you throughout the process.
What is the minimum age for competing?
FFSurf competitions start from the Under-12s category. Santocha supports young riders as soon as they show the desire to compete, with age-appropriate coaching.
Which competitions are open to Santocha members?
Our competitors participate in regional events (Nouvelle-Aquitaine League), the FFSurf French Championships, and local competitions. The calendar covers both surfing and bodyboarding.
Is there a minimum level required to compete?
There is no minimum level required. What matters is the desire to progress and challenge yourself. Our coaches assess your level and guide you towards suitable competitions. If you are just starting out, begin with our surf lessons in Capbreton.
Does the club support competitors at events?
Yes, Santocha organises travel and coaching at regional and national competitions. Our coaches are present to advise and support riders during every event.
