Is the surf school open all year round?
Yes, our surf school in Capbreton offers lessons throughout the year, depending on weather conditions. High season (July-August) provides the best conditions for beginners on the beaches between Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse. Off-season, we adapt to conditions.
What is the minimum age for a lesson?
We welcome children from age 8 for surfing. For younger kids (6-7), bodyboarding can be a good alternative. Adults of all ages are welcome!
Is Santocha a club or a surf school?
Both! Santocha is the only community surf club in Capbreton, in the Landes region, since 1975. The surf school offers one-off lessons for everyone. The club provides annual membership with weekly training sessions and access to FFSurf competitions.
Do you also offer bodyboarding?
Yes, we have an active bodyboard section with lessons and competitions. Bodyboarding is often more accessible for beginners and offers a different kind of wave-riding thrill.
