Kids
What kids love about it
Watching their parents wipe out
Let's be honest: kids love it when Mum or Dad takes a tumble. It's their sweet revenge! And it creates a unique bond.
Standing up before Mum and Dad
Kids often progress faster than adults. The pride on their faces when they pop up first is a priceless moment.
Playing in the waves
Beyond technique, it's the joy of playing in the ocean with their parents that counts. Surfing is all about having fun!

Frequently asked questions about family surfing
What is the minimum age for family surf lessons?
Children can join family surf lessons from age 8. For younger kids (6-7), we recommend bodyboarding, which is more accessible. Parents of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, even complete beginners!
Do parents and kids share the same group?
Yes! That's the whole point of a family lesson: you share the experience together. Our instructors adapt exercises so everyone progresses at their own pace while staying together as a group.
Can a parent watch from the beach instead of surfing?
Of course! If one parent prefers to stay on the sand, they can enjoy the show and take photos. Only those going in the water need a booking.
Can grandparents take part?
Absolutely! Surfing has no age limit. We regularly welcome grandparents discovering surfing with their grandchildren. It's a truly special bonding moment!
Is the equipment suitable for children?
Yes, we have soft-top boards in various sizes, adapted for children from age 8. Wetsuits are also available in kids' sizes. All equipment is included in the lesson price.
What if I'm already an experienced surfer?
If you're experienced and your kids are beginners, the family lesson still works well: you'll accompany your children as they learn. To work on your own technique, book a private lesson at another time.
How many family members can join a session?
There's no strict limit. A family of 4-5 people is ideal. For larger families (6+), get in touch and we'll organise a session that suits you.
Can we book several family lessons during the holidays?
Yes, and we'd actually recommend it! A pack of 3 to 5 sessions allows real progression. Kids (and parents!) gain confidence and technique with every lesson.
